When: Tuesday January 29, 2013-Tuesday March 26, 2013 (This course will run Tuesday evenings of each week for 8 weeks – There will not be a class held on March 12.)

Course Purpose: The purpose of this course is to provide aspiring entrepreneurs the necessary toolbox to bring their medical device to market
Course Subjects: Needs finding, disease state fundamentals, concept generation, intellectual property basics, regulatory affairs basics, reimbursement basics, business models, prototyping, animal trials, final concept selection, and fundraising

Job Posting – Project Manager – Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2)

M2D2 is recruiting an energetic self-starter who can assist the Center in moving programs and projects to the next level. The Project Manager is responsible for implementing the activities outlined in the M2D2 Strategic Vision, developing revenue streams to support operations and for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Center and start-up incubator. The Project Manager serves as the primary contact for medical device inventors/entrepreneurs and other organizations collaborating with M2D2. Reporting to the Directors of the Center, the Project Manager manages relationships with incubator tenants, supervises staff and student workers, organizes educational programs and workshops, and implements outreach and sponsorship activities.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, management

or equivalent; three years of related experience in project management and

fundraising from the private or public sectors.
