China through my eyes

Part of living in a diverse world and getting to know people from many cultures, you have to travel to their country to understanding their way of life. In my personal opinion coming to China gave me a whole new perspective of Chinese people and their traditions. This trip has been an great experience!

Below are some of the great places I visited in Nanjing and Shanghai:

Some of the places I got to visit was the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road, the museum, beautiful lakes, and ferry rides across the Hungpu River.

Nightlife in China

The Nanjing nightlife is beautiful!!

In our free time, we would try to go out and explore the city of Nanjing.  Most of us if not all would go out in a group. We went to places like Catherine Park, the downtown area, various local restaurants and the international mall.

Not only was exploring a good way for us to see and try things we do not experience at home, but it was a great way for us to bond as a group.

Heading to Nanjing

On May 31, st I began my journey to Nanjing, China. Traveling to Nanjing was my first time traveling abroad. As I was getting ready to go I had a bunch of mixed feelings; excited, nervous, and anxious. I had mixed feelings because I did not know what to expect.

This was not my first time on a plane, but this was my first time being on a plane for 22 hours and traveling alone. I hate flying, so at first, I was nervous and wanted to cancel the flight and go home. I faced my fears and got on the plane. After thinking about almost everything that could go wrong on the flight I ended up really enjoying it. I sat next to these two lovely girls from London and we talked about each other, where we were going, and what we were doing. We all had a layover in Hong Kong so we went out and explored the city together.

So far I love Nanjing and I cannot wait to continue exploring and learning!
