Does this spell trouble for the Riverhawks? What kind of slump are our boys in?
No trouble… not here in Mill City…
I think it’s the academics to be honest with you. We’re all feeling pretty sluggish this late in the semester. They hit the ice hard the first games of the season. After November 8th is where the slump factor came in. With two games at Alabama the weekend of Nov 13th and 14th, followed by an easy win against Merrimack on the 21st the Riverhawks never cut slack on the competition, but after easy opponents, tons of school work, Thanksgiving, and a fair amount of ice time it’s easy to see that there’s more to close losses than bad skating.
With only four games left in the Ice Breaker Tournament, it seems the Riverhawks are a headed off the Pawtucket Falls in a wooden bucket. UNH, UMass Amherst, and Princeton remain as the final opponents before Christmas break and it’s going to be the last big push to the lulling rocks before the rushing rapids of the Dartmouth Tournament in January.
Just like everyone else…push
All I can say is good luck boys…
Hit em’
