IMPACT Cycle 3 Pitch-Off Recap and Winners’ Pitches

Last Wednesday, we held our very first in-person IMPACT Showcase Day and Accelerator Pitch-Off for the Cycle 3 Cohort. After the IMPACT Showcase, where the startups had sat with strategists and leading experts in women’s health, medtech, and local hospitals, they pitched their technology to a packed room of attendees. The startups in Cohort 3 met with interested investors and innovators, and received awards from SIX prize sponsors, including a whopping $25K in in-kind resources from the Cycle 3 Sponsor Hologic.

The event kicked off with a welcome from UMass Chancellor Julie Chen, a longtime supporter of the M2D2 incubator. She talked about UMass Lowell’s support and appreciation of M2D2, and the many startups they work with.

Getting the show started and introducing the startups in Cohort 3.

Kyle Kruse started the day off strong by officially handing across a check confirming Global Interconnect as IMPACT’s first official event sponsor! He joined us again later in the evening, as the IMPACT Pitch-Off MC.

For those of you who were at the iHub for the Sensor Challenge, you recognized the enthusiastic Kyle, as the event MC. With his good-natured jokes and big introductions for each startup, he kept the energy high throughout the entire evening. (You can watch the recap of the IMPACT Pitch-Off here.)

Another successful IMPACT Accelerator Cycle for the books

Each IMPACT Cycle highlights unique and innovative medical device startups developing novel solution to improve healthcare diagnosis and treatment. While working with Cycle 3 Sponsor Hologic, we were able to bring special recognition to the solutions currently being developed in the women’s healthcare space. Each startup did an amazing job presenting their ideas to expert panelists and judges throughout the cycle.
