Kew Gardens

Today we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens.  The garden was huge! It was full of acres upon acres of green lawns and so many different flowers and other plants.  While we were there we explored their tropical green house which housed tons of tropical flowers and trees from all over the world.  This included places like South America, Africa and Australia.  Also while we were there, we checked out a gallery that had hundreds of botanical illustrations.  They had illustrations from many well know and respected people such as Joseph Dalton Hooker, Marianne North, and many more. This gallery was awesome to look at because it was a different perspective of the art world where the fields of art and botany were combined into one.  Seeing this extension of art into other fields was really interesting to learn about.
