Then compare the wallet\u2019s live BTC fee estimate with the value of the proposed exchange rather than relying on an old fee chart.<\/p>\n<p>After sending, preserve the order identifier and transaction identifier. Confirm the BTC payment in a Bitcoin explorer and the ETH payout in an Ethereum explorer. A status message or screenshot is less reliable than the corresponding blockchain record, although a provider may wait for additional confirmations before completing its own processing.<\/p>\n<p>The defensible conclusion is narrow: neither Bitcoin nor Ethereum is automatically the \u201ccheaper network\u201d for a BTC-to-ETH exchange.
