Do you have a family member, friend, or even an acquaintance that is part of the LGBTQ community and you want to learn more so you can be an ally and a resource for this individual? There is a perfect opportunity coming up at UML! It is called Ally Space Training!<\/span><\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

This training will provide information and resources to support the gay, lesbian, bisexual <\/span>

<\/span>and transgender (GLBT) members of our campus community. Our hope is to provide a <\/span>

<\/span>network of faculty, staff, and students who are prepared to serve as a resource for <\/span>

<\/span>students by training small groups at a time. Over 100 UMass Lowell community members <\/span>

<\/span>have volunteered to become allies, including faculty, staff, and students. You, too, can <\/span>

<\/span>make a real difference! Participants who complete the training will receive an Ally Space <\/span>

<\/span>placard for their office space or room that indicates that you can provide support and <\/span>

<\/span>resources for students who may identify as GLB or T.<\/span>
