This year, a Challenge sponsor is giving India-based innovators an extra-generous incentive to participate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.deshpandefoundation.org\/\">The Deshpande Foundation<\/a> has announced that they will\u00a0fund up to three $200K Challenge finalist teams to travel from India to M2D2 from approximately March 10th to April 10th. <!--more-->During this one-month time frame they will be introduced to innovators, investors, mentors, subject matter experts and other players in the Boston\/Cambridge\/Lowell area life sciences community.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.m2d2challenge.com\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-818\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/m2d2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2019\/01\/NEW-M2D2-logo-transparent-300x234.png\" alt=\"Winners of the 2019 M2D2 $200K Challenge will be announced April 10, 2019.\" width=\"149\" height=\"118\" \/><\/a>Also on the agenda for the finalist teams will be networking events and, of course, the two climactic $200K Challenge events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finalist Pitch Event in Lowell on March 27<\/li>\n<li>Awards Ceremony in Boston on April 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Building international bridges to advance innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Raj Melville of the Deshpande Foundation explained this initiative as a way to create and strengthen connections and collaboration across the global innovation community:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>\u201cIndia represents both the challenges and opportunities for the 21<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0century, especially in health and life sciences.
