About The ISSO

THE UMASS LOWELL INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS & SCHOLARS OFFICE (ISSO) IS DEDICATED TO THE UNIVERSITY’S COMMITMENT TO GLOBAL ENGAGEMENT AND INCLUSION.

The International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) provides specialized services, manages regulatory compliance and offers support to the university’s international students and scholars from their pre-arrival stages throughout the entire post-completion phases of their academic and research programs.

The ISSO supports international students and scholars from around the globe in achieving their personal, academic, and professional objectives at UMass Lowell, assisting them in navigating the complex, ever-changing sphere of student and scholar immigration regulations. The ISSO partners with administrative and academic departments to foster international student success, enhance the University’s global engagement and collaborative research efforts, and to create a welcoming, inclusive environment on campus and in the community.
