{"id":108,"date":"2013-12-13T09:32:29","date_gmt":"2013-12-13T14:32:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/2013\/12\/13\/121313_internet_explorer_11_reminder_about_certified_browsers\/"},"modified":"2013-12-13T09:32:29","modified_gmt":"2013-12-13T14:32:29","slug":"121313_internet_explorer_11_reminder_about_certified_browsers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/2013\/12\/13\/121313_internet_explorer_11_reminder_about_certified_browsers\/","title":{"rendered":"12\/13\/13 Internet Explorer 11 &amp; Reminder about certified browsers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently afew employees have reported issues with Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and in particular if a user clicks a field lookup magnifier icon ( <img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"spyglass.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2015\/12\/spyglass.JPG\" width=\"21\" height=\"21\" \/>), the processing icon spins indefinitely without displaying field options. Users that need to access lookup values must use a different browser. IE11 IS NOT A CERTIFIED BROWSER.<\/p>\n<p>While we don&#8217;t require any single browser, users should be aware of what is currently certified by PeopleSoft to work with our HR Direct system.Many users will not have issues using a non-certified browser and Firefox seems to have some of the greater success forusers. <\/p>\n<p>We are on version 8.51 of PeopleTools which is what determines the certifications for PeopleSoft access. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Note #1:<\/strong>iSiS is on version 8.52 and Finance is 8.53, so the certifications are slightly different for each.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note #2: <\/strong>HR Direct is scheduled to be upgradedby fall 2014. <\/p>\n<p>\n<p><p> Here are the currently certified browsers:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> <img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2015\/12\/ie%20ps851.JPG\" width=\"341\" height=\"400\" \/> <\/p>\n<p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"firefox ps851.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2015\/12\/firefox%20ps851.JPG\" width=\"336\" height=\"384\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"safari ps851.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2015\/12\/safari%20ps851.JPG\" width=\"261\" height=\"186\" \/><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>SeeOracle&#8217;s  <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/hrdirect\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/43\/2015\/12\/Browser_Compatibility_Guide_Jun2013_V16.1%281%29.pdf\">Browser Compatibility Guide-Jun2013<\/a>if you are having specific issues with one of the certified browsers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently afew employees have reported issues with Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and in particular if a user clicks a field lookup magnifier icon ( ), the processing icon spins indefinitely without displaying field options.
