Web Services would like to apply this Band-Aid of answers to some pressing questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FACULTY AND STAFF BIOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, UML adopted a hybrid system of bio presentation on the web. We use the information full-time faculty upload into their Digital Measures account and build a bio in Tridion\u00a0 &#8211; our content management system &#8211; to house this information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Full-time faculty should:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Set up and continually update your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmeasures.com\/login\/uml\/faculty\/authentication\/showLogin.do?shce_production=1513629481098\">Digital Measures account<\/a> &#8211; get help from Anthony Sampas, Senior Digital Documents &amp; Records Management Specialist, if you need DM support.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/service\/Apps\/HelpTickets\">Submit a ticket<\/a> to Web Services &#8211; to update your image, change your title, phone number, office number.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Part-time, adjunct faculty and staff members should:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/service\/Apps\/HelpTickets\">Submit a ticket<\/a> to Web Services \u2013 we need ALL your bio information. This information does not come from Digital Measures.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>PROGRAM PAGES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through student usability studies, Web Services learned that prospective and current students want to get to pertinent program information quickly. This is also true of ALL web users. When you are looking for some bit of information on the web, don\u2019t you get frustrated when there are too many words and not enough solutions?!!??!<\/p>\n<p>Undergraduate program pages highlight UML\u2019s majors. Students, parents, and peer institutions are going here to compare programs to other schools and get things done, like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>make sure they are on track in high school (requirements)<\/li>\n<li>see what courses UML requires a student to take to get a degree (Degree Pathway) and what they will learn (Learning Outcomes)<\/li>\n<li>apply (Admissions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Web Services has developed a Program Page template for Departments to insert their pertinent information as well as highlight unique associated opportunities: study abroad, graduate programs, co-ops, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some <strong>undergraduate examples<\/strong> and we hope to get to your department soon to help with this transformation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Sciences\/biology\/Programs-of-Study\/Undergraduate.aspx\">Biology<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Health-Sciences\/Public-Health\/Programs-of-Study\/Undergraduate.aspx\">Public Health<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stage.uml.edu\/FAHSS\/History\/undergraduate.aspx\">History<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Education\/Programs\/Undergraduate\/Major.aspx\">Education<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Graduate examples:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Engineering\/Programs\/Engineering-Management.aspx\">Engineering Management<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/MSB\/Programs\/Masters-Programs\/MBA\/default.aspx\">Business Administration<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thanks for reading and please comment if you have other web questions!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past year there has been change &#8211; specifically to the website or web procedures.
