{"id":12,"date":"2015-11-17T09:25:26","date_gmt":"2015-11-17T14:25:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/?p=12"},"modified":"2015-11-17T11:33:04","modified_gmt":"2015-11-17T16:33:04","slug":"cindyconde","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/2015\/11\/17\/cindyconde\/","title":{"rendered":"UMass Lowell Welcomes Alumna Cynthia Conde &#8217;87, &#8217;91"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-13 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2015\/11\/377d8cc-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"377d8cc\" width=\"182\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2015\/11\/377d8cc-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2015\/11\/377d8cc-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/blogs.uml.edu\/engineering\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2015\/11\/377d8cc.jpg 334w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 182px) 100vw, 182px\" \/>Today we are honored to\u00a0welcome alumna <strong>Cynthia (Cindy) Conde &#8217;87, &#8217;91<\/strong> back to campus as our November Leadership Colloquium speaker!<br \/>\nCindy will meet with a small group of student leaders and chemical\/biomedical engineering faculty for a working lunch, and then host a seminar open to University faculty, staff and students at 3:00 PM in the Perry Atrium (Saab ETIC).<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Conde\u00a0is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer and Head of Information Solutions for North America at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanofi.us\/l\/us\/en\/index.jsp\">Sanofi<\/a>, a global healthcare leader with core competencies in Diabetes, Vaccines, Oncology, Animal Health, Rare Diseases and Multiple Sclerosis, and Consumer Healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to assuming her current position at Sanofi in October 2012, Conde ascended the ranks at Genzyme Corporation, serving in a number of roles with increasing responsibilities over the course of her 16+ year career with the company.<\/p>\n<p>She has held such roles as: Director of Operations for Genzyme\u2019s Diagnostics Products Division. ERP Program Director and IT Business Partner for Corporate Operations. VP of Information Technology for Genzyme Genetics, VP of Information Technology &#8211; Enterprise IT; and VP of Information Technology and Genzyme IS Business Partner for Sanofi\u2019s Global Services Division.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Ms. Conde served as a self-employed project management, IT, and professional training &amp; coaching consultant for a number of years; and was a Principal of Hawkeye Software Systems, a small, privately owned company that provided case\/client management software solutions for law offices.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to that, Cindy was employed as the Director of Manufacturing at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crbard.com\/Home.html\">CR Bard<\/a> from 1992-1995 and as a Manufacturing Engineer at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.polaroid.com\">Polaroid<\/a> Corporation\u2019s Camera Division from 1987-1992.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Conde, a member of the College\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Engineering\/IAB.aspx\">Industrial Advisory Board,<\/a> earned a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Industrial Technology and a Master\u2019s degree in Manufacturing from the University of Lowell in 1987 and 1991, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to your time with us today!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><strong>Please join us for our Leadership Colloquium &#8211; all are welcome!\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we are honored to\u00a0welcome alumna Cynthia (Cindy) Conde &#8217;87, &#8217;91 back to campus as our November Leadership Colloquium speaker!
