Rajia Abdelaziz, \u201916, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Ray Hamilton, \u201916, Electrical Engineering, decided to take matters into their own hands and create one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uml.edu\/Innovation-Entrepreneurship\/DifferenceMaker\/Meet-the-DifferenceMakers\/invisaWear.aspx#:~:text=invisaWear%2C%20DifferenceMakers%20We%20want%20to%20make%20people%20feel,Engineering%2FComputer%20Science%29%20and%20Raymond%20Hamilton%20%2716%20%28Electrical%20Engineering%29.\">DifferenceMaker 2016 $50,000 Idea Challenge<\/a>, invisaWear won the Innovative Technology Solution prize of $4,500. This was one of their first sources of funding for their project, which was part of their capstone as college students at UMass Lowell. In 2019, one of their first ever life-saving stories was featured on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wcvb.com\/article\/panic-button-jewelry-helps-save-local-woman-s-life\/26596255\">WCVB<\/a>. A woman got involved in a very bad car crash in Lowell, MA. Her phone was unable to be found among the ruckus, but she luckily had her invisaWear charm with her, a charm that she was gifted months prior. She double tapped her button and emergency crew &amp; family immediately rushed to her and saved her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>invisaWear was also selected as one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/bostinno\/\">BostInno\u2019s<\/a> coolest companies to work for. They selected companies from all over Massachusetts. In addition, they have been featured on a variety of TV shows such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rachaelrayshow.com\/articles\/4-personal-safety-devices-everyone-should-know-about\">Rachael Ray<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/\">Good Morning America<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7news.com\/invisawear-jenelle-valdina-rajia-abdelaziz-ray-hamilton\/5164536\/\">ABC News<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/boston.cbslocal.com\/tag\/invisawear\/\">CBS News<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/\">Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2021, invisaWear announced one of their most exciting partnerships \u2013 a collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/security.adt.com\/d\/adt\/?utm_adgid=1233652235285656&amp;utm_adid=&amp;utm_adpos=&amp;utm_bk=&amp;utm_campaign=p%3AB%7Ca%3ASADT%7C%5EB%7C%23D%7Cd%3ATP-4%7Cm%3AExact%7Cg%3AAll&amp;utm_cmpid=376172900&amp;utm_content=Adt%7Cp%3AB%7Ca%3ASADT%7C%5EB%7C%23D%7Cd%3ATP-4%7Cm%3AExact%7Cg%3AAll&amp;utm_devicemdl=&amp;utm_dvc=c&amp;utm_feeditemid=&amp;utm_locintid=&amp;utm_locphysid=104857&amp;utm_mcid=&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_mt=e&amp;utm_ntwk=o&amp;utm_plcmnt=&amp;utm_plcmnttgt=&amp;utm_source=bing&amp;utm_term=adt&amp;utm_tgtid=kwd-77103416413996%3Aloc-4112\">ADT<\/a>, the #1 name in household security! This partnership provides customers with additional security. Not only does the double press of the button alerts loved ones &amp; 911, but it also alerts ADT with their location. This provided them with exposure on one of the world\u2019s largest video commerce platforms. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/100046313666366\/videos\/340932334264687\">Watch their featured segment here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In July, invisaWear donated $5,000 to the inspirational non-profit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mystrongcity.org\/\">Strong City<\/a>. Strong City is dedicated to educating at-risk and underprivileged youth from ever getting to that point\u2014through education, project-based giving, gun violence research, and citizen support. A few years ago, invisaWear received a check from <a href=\"https:\/\/eforall.org\/\">EforAll<\/a> which helped them start their company, and now they are supporting others to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, invisaWear is a DifferenceMaker team that has made a huge difference in the community and in people\u2019s lives.
